On March 11, 2015, Andrea Karg presents Allude Fall/Winter collection titled “Playing Shapes” during Paris Fashion Week. The Munich-based label continues to showcase luxury knits, especially cashmere with modern attitudes by “reinterpreting femininity in an original visual language.”
Felted cashmere, coarse and jacquard knits, combined with jacquard patterned fake fur are transformed into elegant and sophisticated garments that exudes feminine luxury. That effect is heightened through the high craftsmanship quality and use of colors. Classic winter colors interspersed the softness of beige, rose, pale blue, lush dark green, rusty red and brown makes a unique color palette that’s visually impactful. Browsing the Allude Fall/Winter 2015 runway photos below, I can almost sense the flowing motion and soft feel of the cashmere on the models’ body.
That being said, perhaps the most enlightenment I get from this collection is the Ms. Karg’s statement about the collection. She said, “This collection is a statement of intent – don’t succumb to the pressure and look beyond. Use your experience and live for the moment. Allude is about self-confidence – to feel the very best every day.”
“I can’t change the world, but I can make it a bit more pleasant.”
Amen to that.
