Oxford shoes and Western boots

 Oxford shoes and Western boots

I don’t get these two trends when it first arrived earlier this year. But now, with so many cute styles going around, it’s hard not to notice. Now I love them!

I definitely want to have these Sulia oxford flat shoes from Target and I couldn’t get this boots/oxford hybrid from Urban Outfitters out of my mind.
On the other side, this black western boots exudes classic “i’m-in-control” confident, whereas this brown one is subtly badass (both from Target), and I found this “urban-rider” western boots at Zappos. AND there’s this Sergeant Boots at Endless.com. Gorgeous!

Decisions, decisions….

UPDATE (November 17, 2010):

I see people view this post a lot, so I feel obligated to update on what I decided shortly after I posted this on September 3.

Oxford shoes and Western bootsAfter much pondering, I eventually went with Bass Shoes’ Chrissie Cognac oxford shoes (got so many compliments wearing these with slim 7/8 pants or gaucho pants) and black Dolce Vita oxford shoes from Target.

I ditched the western boots idea and went with black motorcycle boots instead, and….what do you know? Target has it too, so I bought this Dolce Vita boots :)

I’m VERY HAPPY with all three of them, they are fantastic and so easy to wear. Subtly cool without being too much. I was skeptical about the motorcycle boots at first, but I now easily wear it with leather jackets, flowy skirts, or even casual jeans attire. So versatile.

UPDATE (August 10, 2011):
Check out this Refinery29 slideshow for some of the new breeds of oxford shoes! More daring and getting edgier for daily walk. We’ll see if I’m going to be sucked into this edgier oxford shoes trend.

As for the Bass shoes that I got last year? They’re still going strong, cuffed and worn from frequent wear, but I love them so much still :) The Dolce Vita motorcycle boots are also still going strong, but the Dolce Vita black oxford isn’t faring so well and I might need to “fix” it soon.

Have you gotten your oxford shoes (and then some) yet?

What’s Up with Target lately? Too many cute stuff to choose from!

What’s Up with Target lately? Too many cute stuff to choose from!OK, I admit I haven’t been to Target lately, but when I was there on Monday, my, so many treasures!

For example, this Ivory/Black Lace Dress, Flannel Plaid Shirt (so comfy, perfect for Fall, and the fitting is great), this black jegging (and I’m not even a jegging person!), and this tiered strappy dress. And of course, as always, I want some red lipstick. Um, that cardigan too, please.

Hmm….and some Poketo purses are still available, as well as new Temple St. Clair jewelry! Oh my gosh!

I want some Booties

Posted on Sep 1, 2010 in iWanna | 2 comments

I want some BootiesEver since I passed the chance to buy a super cute but edgy booties on  some street at Düsseldorf, Germany in 2007, I’ve been agonizing over a missed opportunity. Trying to find a pair of ankle boots that’s specific to my liking is very hard, and I cannot stop blaming myself for passing that cute black, low-heel, totally-walkable, and totally-amazing-in-its-own-way booties. Missed rare opportunity. Lesson learned. In fact, I’m still learning it to this day.

I want to walk in booties with bright-colored socks (see why this is OK here), vintage-inspired blouson dress, and a cropped trench coat. Plus one of my scarf as my headband.

Some of my current budget-conscious booties considerations:
1. Indigo by Clarks “Hedda” $110 at Zappos.com
2. Madden Girl “Impulze” $59.95 at Zappos.com
3. Blowfish “Himble” $66.95 at Zappos.com
4. Women’s Mossimo Black “Kafayat” Sequin Bootie $27.99 at Target.com
5.  Liliana by Adi $31.99 at Target.com (it’s too tall for me, but I LOVE the zipper detail…maybe I can do some DIY project with this as an inspiration)

By the way, the price of that German bootie that I missed was £ 89.95 ;)
It’s amazing how much emotional agony £ 89.95 can do to me for the past 3 years =D

Have a great day,
Musank

Heritage Row Boutique - San Francisco

Yay to another newly opened affordable boutique! I’ll definitely check New Clothing Boutique Heritage Row Opens in the Marina | San Francisco – DailyCandy whenever I’m in Marina :)

And in a rather random and unrelated news, I dig this Target mini dress. It’s just that my torso is rather long, so I may buy this dress and cut the top, tweak it a bit so I have a very cute teal-colored tier skirt. Fabulous!

I want to go back to Japan and ride a shinkansen

Looking at this video on my computer screen is enough to make me feel nostalgic. I love Japan, I always want to come back there sometime soon, and thank you Daihei Shibata for making this gorgeous but simple video.

When did I go to Japan? Well, in 2006, for 5 days…to Tokyo and Nagoya (and that’s when my love affair with Uniqlo begins):
