Twisted Silver Trunk Show this Saturday
First of all, thank you for Life in Pleasanton and Greg Cross (who emailed me directly) to let me become more aware of Debra Mitchell’s Twisted Silver.
Twisted Silver recently gets Hollywood star followers such as Carolyn Hennesy, who plays Barb on ABC’s hit comedy Cougar Town, and Carrie Preston and Lauren Bowles of HBO’s hit series True Blood.
She is to debut her Fall 2010 Collection this Saturday at Pleasanton’s Studio 7 Arts, where it regularly hosts original handcrafted arts by local, regional, and national artists.
From 10 to 2, Studio 7 will hold a fall trunk show featuring Twisted Silver Jewelry, where its creator Debra Mitchell will design and create jewelry at the gallery (how exciting!) while sharing her inspirations and techniques. Oh, and did I say there’s a farmer’s market happening right outside the gallery? Yeah, get your fresh groceries and then shop your fall accessories to match your increasingly layered wardrobe :)
There will be several necklaces, earrings and bracelet pieces that will be featured, and depending on the wearer, I believe the pieces can be classic, eclectic, edgy, casual, vintage, modern, or any combination of the above. They’re definitely versatile.
My personal favorite is the Austin bracelet. LOVE it. A little bit edgy, a little bit soft, a little bit rustic, a little bit homey, but always cool no matter what.
Check this trunk show out if you’re in the area, will you? Hurray to Bay Area local designers; congratulations once again to Debra Mitchell and Studio 7.
Have fun this weekend,
Musank

What’s Up with Target lately? Too many cute stuff to choose from!
OK, I admit I haven’t been to Target lately, but when I was there on Monday, my, so many treasures!
For example, this Ivory/Black Lace Dress, Flannel Plaid Shirt (so comfy, perfect for Fall, and the fitting is great), this black jegging (and I’m not even a jegging person!), and this tiered strappy dress. And of course, as always, I want some red lipstick. Um, that cardigan too, please.
Hmm….and some Poketo purses are still available, as well as new Temple St. Clair jewelry! Oh my gosh!

I want some Booties
Ever since I passed the chance to buy a super cute but edgy booties on some street at Düsseldorf, Germany in 2007, I’ve been agonizing over a missed opportunity. Trying to find a pair of ankle boots that’s specific to my liking is very hard, and I cannot stop blaming myself for passing that cute black, low-heel, totally-walkable, and totally-amazing-in-its-own-way booties. Missed rare opportunity. Lesson learned. In fact, I’m still learning it to this day.
I want to walk in booties with bright-colored socks (see why this is OK here), vintage-inspired blouson dress, and a cropped trench coat. Plus one of my scarf as my headband.
Some of my current budget-conscious booties considerations:
1. Indigo by Clarks “Hedda” $110 at Zappos.com
2. Madden Girl “Impulze” $59.95 at Zappos.com
3. Blowfish “Himble” $66.95 at Zappos.com
4. Women’s Mossimo Black “Kafayat” Sequin Bootie $27.99 at Target.com
5. Liliana by Adi $31.99 at Target.com (it’s too tall for me, but I LOVE the zipper detail…maybe I can do some DIY project with this as an inspiration)
By the way, the price of that German bootie that I missed was £ 89.95 ;)
It’s amazing how much emotional agony £ 89.95 can do to me for the past 3 years =D
Have a great day,
Musank
