Serkan Cura Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 collection is all about the gods of Greek mythology.

On January 29, 2015, Belgian designer Serkan Cura unleashed his Greek mythology inspired haute couture collection in Paris. For those unfamiliar with this young designer, Mr. Cura studied fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium in 2007 while gathering professional experience in couture and pret-a-porter ateliers of Paris. He worked with Jean Paul Gaultier design atelier for 4 years before creating his own Parisian fashion house in 2012. His house specialized in unique techniques of feather appliques where he can realize “his most fantastic creative dreams.” (Source: Serkan Cura, Totem Fashion.) If you’re a Victoria Secrets fan, then you may have known that he’s the designer of the wings worn by Victoria’s Secret Angels.

The Serkan Cura Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 is like a crash course of Greek mythology, especially the ones appearing in Homer’s Odyssey and Perseus. The 15 looks depict popular characters such as Athéna, Arès, Médusa, and Héra in outfits glorifying Mr. Cura’s signature feather applique technique, structural body armors, and corseted bodices adorned with laces and crystals. Arès had never looked so ravishing before, as is Médusa. The high fashion figures of Greek mythology have transformed into insatiable divas in Serkan Cura’s creative mind. So enchanting.
