Naturally Dyed Night Gown

Nightgown-Natural-Dyeing-Project-Fafafoom-Studio

In a Nutshell

Thrifted a nightgown from a local estate sale, but it’s looking too plain. I decided to introduce more colors by naturally dyeing it with camellia petals from the garden, and emphasize an underbust seam line with a lavender trim remnant.

Key Materials

The main materials for this Refashion project are a synthetic blend night gown, pink and red camellia flower petals, red azalea flower petals, and lavender trim remnant. A steamer is used to naturally dye the gown, and home sewing machine is used to sew lavender trim remnant onto the underbust seam line.
