In a Nutshell

This pair of Target x Dolce Vita shoes may be cheaply made, but they were my favorite to wear for many years. After several years of constant wear, the vamp areas cracked and split. To prolong its lifespan, I glued a cut piece of Indonesian woven fabric on the front area.

After this refashion, the pair of shoes enjoyed several more years of walking until they broke down once more. I repaired them again, but it’s clear they can no longer enjoy daily wear. The shoes are now mostly stored with some occasional light walks.
